Peace by Piece

I am interested in the role that the unconscious plays in making art and how it communicates to others through art.   

These artworks have been created during the COVID crisis. These collages consists of many small pieces of paper that have been put through a cross cut paper shredder, much of it my own artwork. 

At a time of heightened anxiety, I found making these pieces brought me to the here and now, and with that came peace.   

The process is repetitive and meditative. Some collages are completely random like static whilst others combine a mixture of planning and chance.

I continue to make these collages.
